About the Team: The Futbol Club of Thomasville, LLC is an outgrowth of the local soccer community in Thomasville, Georgia. Although the Dragons have played soccer in Thomasville for over 6 years, this premier womens team was organized and accepted into the WPSL in October of 2007. We are enjoying our first season of league play! About the Coaching: F.C. Thomasville has established a strong coaching staff, including several nationally licenced coaches.
- Jim Wiggins is the coach of the FC Thomasville Dragons of the WPSL and also the Thomasville Dragons - Womens Squad which participates in the Plantation Adult Soccer Affiliate and plays locally organized non-league matches, and also serves coaching boys and girls club teams in Georgia and Florida. Jim holds a USSF National "C" Coaching License. He is a past board member of the Thomas Area Soccer Association and the Plantation Adult Soccer Affiliate. Jim played club soccer at Thomas University and the State University of West Georgia, and currently plays in the PASA 6v6 League, the Dragons Mens Over 30 team and Dragons Open Class team. Wiggins is the founder and General Manager of F.C. Thomasville.
- Aly Joslin is the former Women's Soccer Head Coach at Virginia Intermont College. Joslin also served two years as assistant women's soccer coach for VIC. He holds a United States Soccer Federation National "B" Coaching License and also has served as Varsity Soccer Boys Coach at Virginia High School. A native of England, he previously held the title of Director of Soccer of the Highlands Soccer Club. Aly played college soccer at Thomas University. Ali currently is a head coach with Tallahasse United Futbol Club and a staff coach with Warner Soccer in Tallahassee, Florida.
- Ricky Zambrano is the head coach for Thomas University Men's & Women's Soccer. Zambrano has served as a Women's Assistant Coach at Louisiana State University, and the Men's Head Coach at St. Thomas University. While at LSU, he played a significant role in the recruitment of three Nationally Ranked Recruiting Classes. While at St. Thomas University he was named Florida Sun Conference Coach of the Year in 1998. Zambrano holds several school records at St. Thomas, including highest all-time winning percentage, wins in a season, most conference wins in a season, and most consecutive wins in a season. He holds a NSCAA Advanced National Diploma and United States Soccer Federation National "B" Coaching License. Zambrano is a member of U.S.S.F Coaches Organization, the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA), and the Latin American Soccer Coaches Association (LASCA). Zambrano has served as a state staff coach for both Louisiana and Florida Olympic Development Program. He serves as a scout for Region III in the United States Soccer Federation (U.S.S.F) Minority Program. Zambrano played midfield for the St. Thomas University Bobcats.

Player Tryouts: Open tryouts will be held in Thomasville on Saturday, January 12th, 2:00 pm at Thomas University. A second open tryout will be held in March. |
