Chicago, IL
FC Twente3 IL now boasts three coaches on staff who hold USSF 'A' Licenses, after Assistant Coach and General Manager attended the course in Lake Forest this past summer.
"I'm very proud of Brian," said Head Coach and Team Owner, Richard Drake, "for the longest time he wasn't sure if he could pass the course, since he feels he doesn't test well. But he was able to put that behind him and pass the course. Plus, he went into the course as a native Canadian, which is always starting behind the eight ball anyway."
Rigby, a University of Illinois Chicago Alumni has been a well-known team trainer in the Chicagoland area for the past ten years. He joined FC Twente3 in the summer of 2008 after running Cosmos FC, a similar program for college age players from 2004-2006.
"It was good to get the 'A' License out of the way," said Rigby, "Now I don't have to listen to Drakey chirping in my ear all the time about being a lowly 'B' License coach anymore. But I'm sure he'll still find something to blab about."
The summer of 2008 proved to be the least successful campaign for FC Twente3 IL since it's 2004 inception, and the first year the club did not add any trophies to the trophy case.
"Now we just have to get Freddie off his butt and join the rest of us at a higher coaching level," said Drake and Rigby simultaneously.
