On Wednesday at Juan Diego there was a home town clash between Utah's two WPSL teams.  The first year Sparta Women played long time members of the WPSL, Spiders.  The Spiders scored early off an unfortunate own goal.  Sparta battled hard to come back and was rewarded late in the half when Danika Wright headed in a corner kick taken by Sara Cowley.  The two teams went in to half time tied ready to battle in the second half.  The Spiders came out quickly and scored to goals, but not long after Kendra Halterman finished a pass from Sara Cowley.  The Spiders scored again, but this was followed up by a great goal by Cassy Hitt.  Unfortunately, Sparta's late push was not enough and the Spiders won 5-3.
