About the Team: The team was formed as an indoor team 12 years ago and as the years went by we started picking up college players and former professional players and started competing in an amateur league. We've won three consecutive women's premier tournaments the last 3 years. Because of our success, we decided to join the Women's Premier Soccer League for better competition. About the Coaching: Raul Reis was a Semi-Professional coach in the LASA League and a High School girls coach for 12 years. He has coached the Stingers the past 7 years in a women's amateur league. Played professional indoor soccer in the 80'S with the Chicago Shoccers in the AISA League. Raul also played with the Kansas City Comets in the MISL League.
Type of Players: WUSA Players and former and current college players. Top Returning Players: Emily Feeney, Erica Rico, Hillary McGarr, Krystal Robens, Heather Macedo and Lindsay Cunningham.
Local Colleges: University of Connecticut, Duke University, Brown University, URI, Springfield College, Merrimack College, Hofstra Universtiy, Sacred Heart University, Northeastern University and Loyola University.
Player Tryouts: Tryouts are organized by the team and usually go on during the college winter and spring break periods. In addition, the team will be holding one final tryout during the first and/or second week of May.
