About the Team:

West Coast F.C was awarded rights to a franchise in one of the top leagues in
the world starting the summer of 2008. The WPSL now has over 40 teams competing
in 6 conferences across the United States and WCFC will be amongst three new
organizations in the revamped, 11-team West for the Summer 2008 season.

"WCFC is commited to signing the best of the best soccer role models to
represent OrangeCounty," said coach Platini Soaf. "Our mission is to provide our
community the highest level of women's soccer competition as well as
  entertainment for soccer fans."

"The young women who will play for this team have proven to be both leaders on
the soccer field and in life and will be great role models for young people,"
said coach Gus Castaneda. "We are looking forward to a great season!"

WCFC is one of the largest clubs in United States with 43 competitive teams for
both boys and girls. Club President Rick Hough believes strongly that "this
newly developed team will bring a top level environment of soccer to our youth
  players."

WCFC women's will feature local players, top college stars from across the
United States as well as international players from Mexico and the U.S. Women's
National Team Pool. Featured signings include the likes of: USWNT Pool members
Amy Rodriguez (USC - LH Eclipse Soccer Club) & Rachel Buehler (Stanford - Surf
Soccer Club), Mexican WNT star Iris Mora (UCLA), Nicole Scheid (Cal State
Fullerton - WCFC) andWhitney Jones Pridham (UCLA - So Cal Blues).

The mission of the West Coast F. C. WPSL franchise is to provide the highest
level of women's soccer while simultaneously providing affordable, quality
family entertainment and positive role models for our youth.
