AGENDA ITEMS
A. Financial report given by C. Hanlon.
B. F. Vellutini motions and C. Sellers seconds that any players registered after July 15th will not be eligible to play during the Championship Tournament. Motion carries unanimously.
C. J. Zanelli motions and F. Vellutini seconds that the Challenger’s Cup be cancelled this year. Motion carries by majority, 12 yea votes and 2 nay votes by G. Hobbs and S. Dreher.
D. The Annual General Meeting will be held in Las Vegas December 3-4th, 2005. The Las Vegas Tabagators will host the meeting and will get a block of rooms for representatives. More details will be provided later.
E. For AGM Agenda - The league needs to think about future leadership so that the league does not dissolve if J. Zanelli cannot continue to lead the league.
F. Due to personal reasons, D. Cross has announced his resignation as the League Treasurer and Manager of the San Francisco Nighthawks, effective at the end of this season. Dick was one of the 4 founding members of the league and our volunteer Treasurer for 8 years.
G. The league voted to re-name the Manager of the Year award after Dick Cross. The award will be called the Richard Cross Management Excellence Award.
H. National Awards Both the East and West will have their own All-Star Teams, Most Valuable Player, Most Valuable Goalkeeper, Coach of the Year and Manager Awards. FC Indiana and St. Louis will be considered “East” and Houston and Everton will be considered “West.” There will be an All-Tournament Team for the Champion Tournament participants, of which will be decided by the manager/coaches of the participating teams. C. Hanlon will name the East and West Richard Cross Management Excellence Awards.
I. Championship Tournament New England will play the winner of the Houston/FC Indiana games at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 30th. The western division leader will play the Eastern wildcard team at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 30th. The Consolation game will be played at 2:00 p.m. and the Championship game will be played at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 31st. All games will be at Agawam High School Stadium in Agawam, MA.
J. C. Sellers motions and J. Kelly seconds that both individual and continual trophies be awarded this year. The motion carries unanimously. J. Ferrara will purchase the individual trophies and the league will reimburse him accordingly.
K. Reminder that the team intranet pages are still down. You may continue to register players and submit media reports online, but any team page information or roster information changes need to be emailed to C. Hanlon for updating.
