1. The East
Division point leader will travel to
San Francisco for
the Championships from New York in
order to get the best deal on
flights.
2. The WPSL
Championship will be held at Kezar
Stadium in San
Francisco, CA on Saturday, July 26th
at 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM and
Sunday, July 27th at 5:00 PM. Dick
Cross, the Championship
Tournament Commissioner, will
determine details such as who plays
who when. It is agreed that teams
within the same division will
not play each other in the
semi-finals.
3. Financial
report given by Dick Cross. It is
agreed that a team
will not be considered for playoffs
unless all league dues are
current.
4. Ajax of
Southern California and San Diego
WFC will have forfeit
wins against the Quest.
5. The Rhode
Island/Maryland game on July 19th
will count twice, only for points,
not goals.
6. The USASA/USSF
convention will be held Aug. 13-17th
in Chicago. Jerry Zanelli will
attend as well as Colette Hanlon.
The league will cover all travel and
registration costs for Colette
Hanlon.
7. Dick Cross has
applied for a credit card with MBNA
with Jerry
Zanelli, Dick Cross and Colette
Hanlon listed as signatories.
8. The San Joaquin
Quest was formally reprimanded for
using
unregistered players in several
games.
9. Jeff Thomas
will serve as Chairman of Player
Registrations for
the league.
10. For future
discussion at the AGM: Change the
limit of 28
players on the active roster to
unlimited, more stringent
consequences for unregistered
players.
11. The active
roster limit has been extended to 35
players for
the weekend of July 19-20 to
accommodate Elk Grove due to their
participation in Nationals.
12. San Diego has
filed a Financial Dispute Claim Form
with the
league against the Denver Diamonds
regarding a hotel bill. It was
agreed that San Diego would ask the
hotel to reduce the bill and
then split the remaining balance
with Denver.
13. Airline
sponsorship needs to be actively
pursued.
14. Best wishes
were given to the Ajax of Southern
California
and Elk Grove United U-19 teams for
their participation in
National tournaments this month.
15. To offset the
cost of teams traveling to San
Francisco for
the Championships, the league has
agreed to cover the cost of
housing and transportation for
Utah/Denver and Maryland/Mutiny
and housing for Ajax during the
playoffs.
