Orlando, FL: - April 24, 2008 Ever wonder what your favorite players do after they finish their season with the club? Well for the Orlando Falcons many of their alumni have gone out on to what we refer to grand exits, the most recent being 18 year old Brittany Szwec. The Orlando Falcons are please to announce that young Szwec will be heading to the Airforce Academy and joining the Airforce Falcons.
In 2007 Brittany Szwec with two goals and an assist in 3-1 win at Miami Kickers F.C., made Team of the week in the 2nd week of league play. At the time she was attending Winter Springs H.S. & playing club at F.C. America.
""Brit," as we call her has an amazing insight into the game. When she first arrived at the Falcons camp though a good player, she was fragile. Now she has blossomed into a force to be reckoned with, not pun intended" says Coach Hammond.
Young Szwec had this to say "Thanks to the support from Elaine Tatarek and Christine Miller, Orlando Falcons Squad members, who also graduated from the Academy I was able to learn about the school from another player's perspective. Unfortunately I will miss playing for the Orlando Falcons this year because I have to report to the Academy on June 26, 2008 for six weeks of Basic Cadet Training before school and soccer start."
The Falcons General Manager had this to say, "We will all miss Brittany, I know she will do us proud. She will hear our cheers from way over here in Florida"
