2016 WPSL SOUTH DIVISION
The South Division of the WPSL brings in a new Region this year with the addition of the Carolinas. “This is an area of the country we have not had the privilege of fielding teams in until now”, notes Division Coordinator and Sunshine Regional Commissioner, Marge Perry, (GM FC Surge). “We are very excited to see the growth in the South and welcome their participation.”  The Carolina Region joins the SouthEast and Sunshine Regions to cover the South United States with 21 teams competing for that one Final Four slot.

Carolinas Regional Commissioner (and owner of the new Oak City Futbol Club)  Lindsey DeLorenze says, “It is exciting to have such a strong start for our region including teams from across North and South Carolina, providing the athletes a wide range of competition and exposure.  Our team will be pulling from local colleges and players from across the U.S. who are interested in joining Oak City FC family.” Other teams in the Region include Carolina Elite Cobras, Carolina Rapids, Greensboro Lady Dynamo and Lake Norman Eclipse.
