About the Team:  2006 Team formerly The Ft. Lauderdale Fusion F.C. Team owner, Marc A. Miceli decides to change the team name to MIAMI KICKERS F.C.
Miceli says, "I have decided to change the name of the team from The Ft. Lauderdale Fusion F.C. to the MIAMI KICKERS F.C. in order to give the team a logistic distance between other WPSL Franchises in Florida and to set us apart from previous teams in the Miami and South Florida area. Miami is associated with the glamor and life style of Florida and there is an attraction of a vast number of players to player here. My intent with the help of my support staff is to start a legacy that will develop and nurture young to seasoned players in Florida and raise the level of play on the pitch." About the Coaching: Head Coach Marc A. Miceli, born in North Africa of French and Italian descent. Lived in Marseilles, France and later moved to New York City. Played for Long Island University on a full soccer scholarship. Miceli, coached Kings Borough Community College for three years in New York City, moved to Florida in 1999. Miceli was the Director of Coaching and Player Development for the Coral Springs Storms Soccer Club and coached at all levels in the Club. Miceli, is the Head Coach at Piper High School Varsity Boys Soccer. In addition, coach Miceli is a FYSA State ODP coaching staff member. Coach Miceli obtained his first USSF National C license in 1977 and later obtained his USSF National B license. He brings over thirty years of coaching & playing experience and a wealth of knowledge of the game.
Assistant Coach Braulio Garro, is returning to the WPSL for the second year as assistant coach to the Miami Kickers F. C. and he holds an Advanced USASA Adult coaching license. Garro was coaching at Coral Springs Storms Soccer Club from 1999 to 2007 season and Head coach of the Flanagan HS Boys soccer team in 2007 and also assisted with the Varsity and J.V. Girls soccer team. Currently, Garro is the Assitant Head coach at American Heritage High School Varsity Girls Soccer.
Trainer Daniel J. Ruiz MS, ATC, LAT, CSCS, is returning for his second season as the Head Athletic Trainer for the Miami Kickers. Prior to joining the Kickers, he was the Head Athletic Trainer at McArthur High School in Broward County, and Graduate Assistant at Florida International University. Daniel received his Master's Degree from FIU and his undergraduate degree from Quinnipiac University. Daniel is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, and currently works full time at the UHZ Sports Medicine Institute in Coral Gables, Florida. ruizdaniel_fiu@yahoo.com C: 954-804-1110
Michelle Malone - Joins the Miami Kickers F.C. as new Business Manager. Mrs. Malone is a well respected business woman in the South Florida area. Mrs. Malone manages a Hilton Hotel in Boca Raton. She services the community by donating and volunteering her time to City Recreational Soccer program as well as Youth travel programs. Her devotion to Soccer and its growth in South Florida, is what brings Mrs. Malone to the Miami Kickers F.C.. Mr. & Mrs. Malone have three children in youth soccer.
