About the Team:

The Northampton Laurels F.C. joined the WPSL in 2005 as an expansion team, and began play in 2006. In its freshman WPSL season the Laurels earned 2nd place in the WPSL Eastern Conference - South Division, and a 4th place finish in the 2006 WPSL Eastern Conference.

In 2007, the Laurels once again earned 2nd place in the WPSL Eastern Conference - Mid-Atlantic Division and a Semi-Final berth in the 2007 WPSL Eastern Conference playoffs. The Northampton Laurels  is committed to the growth and development of women and youth soccer in Eastern Pennsylvania and the US.

About the Coaching:

Director of Coaching Warren Salandy is a former NCAA Division I standout at Brooklyn College, and former member of the Trinidad & Tobago national youth pool. A Coach of the Year recipient as Head Coach of Friends Seminary High School in New York City, Warren played professional soccer in the former Caribbean Professional League as a member of the famous St. Clair Coaching School Young Pros FC, he brings tremendous playing and coaching experience to the Laurels.

Head Coach Anthony Creece is a former star defender at East Stroudsburg University, PA. A USSF licenced coach, Anthony played for the Philadelphia Freedom in the USISL before spending four years as an assistant coach at ESU. He is currently the Head Coach at Notre Dame High School in Stroudsburg, PA, He has won four Coach of the Year titles at Notre Dame HS. A former Trinidad & Tobago U-19 & U-23 National team player, Coach Creece has won two PIAA District XI Championships as head coach of Notre Dame HS. Coach Creece is a proven leader, and like our Director of Coaching he brings tremendous playing and coaching experience to the Laurels.

Some notable former and current Laurels players; Gina Lewandowski (FFC Frankfurt), Maylee Attin-Johnson (Trinidad & Tobago WNT), Daniela Molina (Columbia WNT), Anndrea Yetter, Laura Finley, Kennya Cordner (Trinidad & Tobago WNT), Lauren Calabrese, Tiffany Mulally.

Local Colleges: Cedar Crest College, DeSales University, East Stroudsburg University, Kutztown University, Lafayette College, Lehigh University, Moravian College, Muhlenberg College, Westchester University.

Player Tryouts: The Laurels will hold their 2008 open tryouts at the Lehigh County Sports Fields, Allentown, PA on April 12th, 13th, 26th and 27th for all players other than NCAA Division 1 players, and in May 3rd and 4th for Division 1 players and invitees.
