highlight this edition of the WPSL "Team Of The Week." As we near the halfway point to the 2010 season, the race to qualify for the 2010 WPSL Final Four (July 31-August 1) in Dallas, TX has begun to pick up pace: with teams either needing results to keep them in the post-season hunt or for those fortunate few, the chance to run away with their respective division or conference title.
In the toughest decision for Player Of The Week honors of this season, two players helped their teams remain undefeated while cementing spots at the top of their division and/or conference. Therefore, with a conciliatory nod to Claremont's Denise Thomas

the defensive midfielder controlled the pitch throughout the match, and consistently shut down the South Florida attack in the 0-0 draw; MF Chelsea Davis (SAN FRANCISCO NIGHTHAWKS) -
toughness personified as she had the lone goal in the 3-1 loss to Clovis game, after returning to the game after a vicious slide tackle that took out her out in the 19th minute of the game; D Shauna Kruger (BSC PORTLAND RAIN) -
