The California Storm competed against Santa Clara, which ended in a 2-2 result.  There were 3 penalty kicks awarded in the game, Kim Yokers put two of those in the back of the net for the Storm.  It was a tough game against an under-womaned SCU team.  This was the Storm's final spring season game, which included various players competing for a spot on the 2008 roster.  Solid play was provided by a handful of Storm players, including, Mo Whitney, Brandi Chastain, Betsy Barr, Julia Schnugg...goals by Kim Yokers.  On the flank, Tracey Hamm was able to get behind the defense and create some offensive opportunities.  Others who competed throughout the game were Stacie Alberico, Chelsea Hunt, Hilary Schwarzbach, Katie Ratican, Temryss Lane, Rochelle Jagdeo, Kristi Candau, Mckenna McKetty.  The goal was minded by Gina Pellegrini and Jaime Souza.  The California Storm would like to give thanks to the referree, who's call of the game should be comended. 

This game against Santa Clara concluded the spring season for the California Storm.  The Storm will commence the regular season on Sunday, May 25th in Walnut Creek.  THE STORM HOME OPENER WILL BE SUNDAY, JUNE 1 vs. THE WALNUT CREEK POWER @ 7PM AT NATOMAS HIGH SCHOOL.
