Hailey M. Blackburn - Player / Coach Bio
In 2009 Hailey started and played every minute of all 17 games in her fourth and final season for the Maine Black Bears. Playing center back Hailey led Maine to a combined 9-5-3 record, with an over all goals against average of 1.00 and a conference goals against average of 0.83 Hailey finished her career in a hard fought 0-0 tie in the America East Tournament Semi-final game from which Binghamton advanced on PKs. Hailey was once again named to the America East Academic Honor Roll and a Maine Scholar -Athlete Award winner. In 2008 Hailey started all 19 games in her third season for the Black Bears during which she notched a goal against Dartmouth (9/18). She was named to the America East Academic Honor Roll and was a Maine Scholar -Athlete Award winner.
In 2007 Hailey played in 15 games, starting 14...scored two goals to go along with an assist for five points in her second season...scored the game tying goal with less than two minutes to play against Rhode Island (9/2)...had the game-winning goal at Buffalo (9/14)...notched an assist in win against Holy Cross (9/21)...a Maine Scholar-Athlete Award winner...named to the America East Academic Honor Roll.
In 2006 Hailey saw action in 11 games for the Black Bears her rookie season, including time in five America East conference games... recorded five shots... named to the America East Academic Honor Roll and a UMaine Academic "Rising Star."
PERSONAL: In May 2010 Hailey will be graduating with a Degree in Kinesiology & Physical Education…(Teaching Coaching K-12 Teaching Degree)… born 10/16/87...daughter of Christopher Blackburn and Robin MacLean.
